Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) has managed to be in the second cluster of the best universities in Indonesia in 2020. It ranked 47 out of 2,136 active universities in the Higher Education Database of the Ministry of Education and Culture.
"Alhamdulilah, thanks to the progress of ULM in the last one year, we have succeeded in improving the rank," said ULM Rector Prof. Dr. H Sutarto Hadi in Banjarmasin, Friday.
Previously, the best state university in South Kalimantan with A accreditation was outside the top 50 in the cluster, and stayed at the third cluster last year.
There are four indicators in the clustering of universities. The first is input, including the lecturers with doctoral degrees, head lecturer to professors. Then the ratio of students to lecturers, including the number of foreign students.
Second is the process, including accreditation, online learning, cooperation, and the number of study programs implemented in free learning program.

The third is output, which covers the number of indexed scientific articles per lecturer, research performance, students handling, till the number of international certified study programs.
The fourth indicator is the outcome, it covers innovation performance, te percentage of working graduates, the number of citations, and patents per lecturer to community service.
In addition to clustering, the progress of ULM is evident based on the Webometrics ranking published at the end of July 2020. ULM was ranked 64 from more than 30,000 universities both public and private.
