Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - The Criminal Investigation Unit of East Banjarmasin Sector Police is presently investigating the disappearance of dozen units of laptops in Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Administration (STIA) Bina Banua campus here.
East Banjarmasin Sector Police (Polsekta) Chief, AKP Wildan Albert Sik here on Saturday said, seeing from the scene it possibly the campus burglarized by thieves.
From the statements of the complainant and witnesses at the scene there was a damaged door allegedly used by thieves to get into.
However, it's all still used as data in the investigation. Police later have his own way in exposing the case, while the witnesses have already been examined.
From the report made by the complainant, all 13 laptops lost in the 2nd floor of Computer Laboratory room of STIA Bina Banua Campus on Jalan Pramuka; eight units of Axus brands and five units of Toshiba brand.
"It is estimated that the incidence of theft on Tuesday (24/12) morning at around 05:00 a.m, and is known by the campus around 11:00 a.m. and immediately reported to us," he told Antaranews.
Currently, the Criminal Investigation Unit continue to investigate the cases of theft of the laptops. Examination of witnesses, and if the crime scene has been made, further investigations in the field.
Polsekta will continue to uncover all incoming cases, however, the complainant must wait for the disclosure and investigation in the field is not easy.
"We will continue to provide the best for the community and for the perpetrators of crimes do not blame us, if caught will we act firmly in for having been troubling the community and impede the course of education," he said firmly.
