Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Management of PT Pertamina Exploration and Production Aset 5 Tanjung Field promised to pay compensation to residents of Pampanan Village, Pugaan Sub-district, Tabalong, who was affected by the oil eruption at the drilling location.
Legal and Relation Assistant Manager of the company Galih Pradikta Mochtar said the value of the compensation is based on the result of the interview with the residents around the drilling location.
"We are targeting this March the compensation has been realized," Galih stated before the Commission III of the Tabalong Legislative Council (DPRD).
Pertamina itself has distributed 400 packs of staple food to the residents of neighborhood unit (RT) 1 to 6 of the Pampanan village as a form of social care.
Galih said Pertamina involved the Agriculture Agency in calculating the value of compensation of rubber and other crops due to oil eruption in November 2019.

In the hearing, members of the council hoped the company would immediately realize the compensation.
"Pertamina must be more concerned with the residents affected by the oil eruption because it still leaves trauma," said a member of the Commission III Noor Farida.
The same thing was conveyed by Akhmad Helmi who asked the company to follow up the disaster of oil eruption during drilling by paying attention to the security system of oil and gas exploration.
Head of the Tabalong Environment Agency Rowi Rawatianice confirmed that she had deployed a team to assess the environmental impact after the oil eruption at the Pertamina oil and gas well location.
