Head of Kotabaru Environment Agency Arif Fadillah said, about 30 participants from various villages took part in the workshop.
"The workshop on waste product management is held by SKK Migas and UAE's company operating Sebuku Block, Mubadala Petroleum," he noted in his release, Tuesday (Feb 4, 2020).
He said, this activity was in line with the district government program, one of it focus to support community interest in the management of the environment.

According to Arif, this was a process of building the right foundation in developing a community's interest in taking benefit of waste.
While the participation of a number of waste banks in the activities was considered in synergies with developing of their business the Regent of Kotabaru has been encourged to be developed in all villages in the district.

The Workshop covered three training points, namely waste education, plastic recycling, and recycled product innovation based on local wisdom.
It was one of the parts of community development or CSR program of SKK Migas and Mubadala Petroleum in Kotabaru in the Community-Based Waste Management Program that has been initiated since 2018.
