Batulicin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Bamega Jaya ferries managed by the Batulicin Branch of the Indonesia Ferry, River, Lake and Sea Crossing Transportation Agency (PT ASDP) are estimated to start operating in 2019 to serve passengers on the Pulau Laut -Sebuku Island route in Kotabaru.
PT ASDP General Manager Batulicin Branch Yudhi Yanuar who was accompanied by Business Manager Marsadik here Wednesday said the operation of the vessel would soon be carried out when the Teluk Gosong dock on Pulau Laut and the jetty on Sebuku Island are completed.
"According to the explanation of the South Kalimantan Hall of Land Transportation Management (BPTD) as the manager of the pier construction project on Sebuku and Pulau Laut islands, the docks are expected to be completed by the end of December 2018, so by early January 2019 the Bamega vessel can be operated," he said.
Marsadik explained, while waiting for the dock on Sebuku Island to be completed, ASDP Batulicin urged the Kotabaru government to immediately provide a fare determination for passenger and goods tickets for a budget study of ticket subsidies for passengers.
