South Hulu Sungai (HSS) Regent H. Achmad Fikry accompanied by the Head of Education and Culture Office Hj. Siti Erma, and Head of Health Office Hj. Siti Zainab reviewed schools that began face-to-face learning.

He said that face-to-face learning was ready in general. However, the level of teacher readiness still needs to be improved.

"In the technical instructions, before students arrive, teachers must be at school. So, at the school gate, teachers wait for the students. Teachers can see whether the students are wearing maks or not. In general, the teachers have tried," he said, Monday (July 12, 2021).

He also asked the Education office and school supervisors to more often go to schools, to ensure that the health protocols are properly and correctly obeyed.

In Kalumpang Sub-district there were many classrooms, thus all students could in. There are also schools that took turns, such as in Simpur Sub-district, because there were not many classrooms, they took turns according to school policy.

He also said that it takes time for a strong will, but this is one of the requirements to be able to organize face-to-face learning. The Regent will receive reports from all teams in the field whether face-to-face learning is continued or still needs to be postponed.
