The Regent of Barito Kuala (Batola) Hj Noormiliyani AS on Tuesday (August 25, 2020) for the fifth phase again handed over basic food assistance to help residents affected by COVID-19.
Just as the previous phase, as many as 20,000 basic food packages were distributed to 17 sub-districts with a value of IDR115 thousand per package.
In addition to distribute staple food packages, the government through the Batola Crisis Center also distributed cash assistance.
“People who receive Crisis Center cash assistance were those who have not received other aid in overcoming COVID-19,” she said during the handover at the Serbaguna Building in Marabahan.
Noormiliyani added that Batola residents who received Crisis Center assistance were 2.953 people according to the registered and verified. Each received IDR200 thousand.
The cash assistance was given for two months, August and September. "While October, November, and December will adjust," she said.
The former chairwoman of South Kalimantan DPRD hoped that all assistance could provide benefits and really needed by the residents.
The Head of Communication and informatics Office (Diskominfo) Akhmad Wahyuni explained that for the time being 5.000 households were receiving Crisis Center assistance, while still waiting for data processing and verification in the field regarding the eligibility of the recipient.
