After passing the accreditation, the Sultan Suriansyah General Hospital (RSUD), built by the Banjarmasin City Government, will soon cooperate with the Health Care and Social Security Agency (BPJS kesehatan).


Head of Banjarmasin Heath Agency Machli Riyadi here on Friday (Dec 20, 2019) confirmed the hospital on Jalan RK Ilir, South Banjarmasin, has passed the accreditation with a category of Madya three stars.

"The next process is we will collaborate with BPJS Kesehatan," he remarked.

Now the hospital, Machli Riyadi affirmed, is already in the same class with Sari Mulia Hospital, a well-known private hospital in the city. "We are targeting in 2020 to receive BPJS patients in public health," he pointed out.

Anyway, for emergency patients, the Sultan Suriansyah General Hospital is already able to serve BPJS Kesehatan card holders.

Sultan Suriansyah Hospital provides 12 polyclinics, including polyclinics for child, obstetrics, surgery, internal medicine, nerves, medical rehabilitation, ENT, mental, dental and oral, nutrition, anatomic pathology, and MCU.

The city government owned hospital has 22 specialist doctors and 170 health workers. 

For medical devices and other facilities, he said, the hospital will make another improvement in 2020 with a budget of about IDR50 billion.

Meanwhile, Chairman of Commission IV of Banjarmasin DPRD Matnor Ali expressed his grateful and support for the success of Sultan Suriansyah Hospital to be accredited three stars (Madya).

"It means it is ready to provide service for BPJS kesehatan patients," he added.

DPRD, he continued, will keep providing intensive supervision of the hospital service to the public, especially the underprivilege in the city.

"Because the motivation to build the hospital is to improve services for public health. We hold this city government's commitment," said the Golkar politician.
