University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) has won a big trust from the Ministry Research, Technology, and Higher Education for its Doctoral Program (S3).
The central government attention and appreciation was marked by extending scholarship for 9 students of ULM's Doctoral Program this year.
"Alhamdulillah (Thank God), this scholarship is a very proud achievement and we should be grateful," ULM Rector Prof Dr H Sutarto Hadi remarked in Banjarbaru, Saturday (Dec 14, 2019).
He was speaking to Antara News Agency after ULM's 94th Graduation Ceremony of 2019 at the ULM auditorium in Banjarbaru. He also revealed that ULM Doctoral Program has received B Accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT).
ULM, which have been accredited A, is recognized as the best and the largest state university in Kalimantan and also recognized of being able to produce graduates with the highest academic degree, doctorate.
"Surely this is a motivation for the ULM academic community to continue to improve ourselves that we are indeed worth of producing more doctorates," said the professor of Math Education.

Currently, ULM is proposing the opening of a number of S3 program to the Ministry Research, Technology, and Higher Education. Six doctoral programs are expected to be realized to accept new students in the academic year of 2020/2021, namely Environment Sciences, Management, Legal Studies, Agricultural Socio-Economics, Education Management, and Health Medicine.
As ULM inaugurated 1,250 graduates in the 94th graduation, it again graduated a graduan from Doctoral Program of Agricultural Science with a concentration in the Development fo Natural Resources and Environment.

Sutarto hopes that ULM will continue to produce new doctorates in the future, thus many more doctoral degrees will be born grom ULM almamater without having to go far to study in Java.
Previously in 92nd Graduation, Dr Ir Hj Ilhamiyah, MM from Agricultural Science Doctoral Program recorded in the history of ULM as the first graduan from ULM Doctoral Program. Then in the 93rd Graduation, Irma Febrianty was graduated from Agricultural Science Doctoral Program in Management of Natural Resources and Environment.
