Banjarbaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Snakehead fish (localy known as iwak haruan) one of which has restrained the inflation rate in South Kalimantan which reached 0.25 percent in March 2019.
"In addition to haruan, other commodities that become inflation holders are eggs and chicken meat, gasoline, and red chili," said Head of Statistics and Distribution of the South Kalimantan Central Statistics Agency Fachri Ubadiyah on Monday.
Inflation in South Kalimantan is a combination of Banjarmasin and Tanjung in March 2019 at 0.25 percent with a consumer price index of 135.45.
Inflation in Banjarmasin in March was 0.27 percent with an annual inflation rate of 3.19 percent. While at Tanjung reached 0.07 percent with a YoY inflation rate of 1.68 percent.
"The inflation rate in March against December 2019 in the city of Banjarmasin was 1.01 percent while the inflation rate in Tanjung March against December was 0.16 percent," he said.
