Martapura, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Banjar District once again won the Adipura award and it became the 7th award it won as one of the greenest and the cleanest in the country.
Vice President Yusuf Kalla handed over the Adipura to the Regent of Banjar Khalilurrahman at the Wahana Manggala Bhakti Auditorium, Ministry of Environment and Forestry in Jakarta, Monday (1/14).
"We are grateful and proud, because the Regency of Banjar represented by Martapura won the Adipura in the small town category," the regent said through a press release from the Banjar Communication and Information Agency in Martapura on Monday.
The Regent received Adipura accompanied by the Chairwoman of the Banjar TP-PKK Raudathul Wardiyah, Secretary of Banjar Nasrun Syah, Head of Environment Agency Boyke WT, Head of Communication and Information Agency Farid Soufian, Head of Health Agency Ikhwansyah.
According to the regent, the 7th Adipura award was realized on the role of all components, both the regional government through agencies and related agencies, the private sector and the participation of the local community.
"Everyone plays a role either government apparatus in accordance with their duties, the private sector also helps each other and the community provides great support to succeed in gaining Adipura," he said.
The Adipura award will be paraded around the City of Martapura with "yellow troop" on Thursday (1/17) starting from Demang Lehman Stadium and finishing at Ratu Zalecha Martapura Square.
