Banjarbaru, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief (Kapolda) Inspector General Yazid Fanani said, the application of "Siharat" (local language that means Ready to Face Various Crimes) could be a pilot project for the local police.
"The Siharat application carried out by the Banjarbaru Police, if it is good, can be a model for other police in the South Kalimantan," said the police chief in Banjarbaru on Thursday.
The Kapolda was speaking after visiting the Banjarbaru police office during a working visit to the resort police in the rank of South Kalimantan Regional Police and at the same time giving instructions to personnel.
According to the Regional Police Chief, he asked the Banjarbaru Police Chief Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Kelana Jaya to convey the results that had been achieved regarding the use of the Siharat application since its launch in January 2018.
"We ask the police chief to report on what the Siharat application has done, it will be evaluated and if it is good then it can be a pilot project," he said.
The police chief asserted that the steps to create a conducive atmosphere of security and order were not only the task of the police, but an active role in the community is needed.
"The public must play a role and dare to report if they know the indications of civil society disruption, so that police personnel can be deployed to anticipate it," he said.
