Batulicin, South Kalimantan 9/10 (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Tanah Bumbu Government targets by 2018 all villages in the district will have a village-owned enterprise (BUMdes).
Head of the Tanah Bumbu Village Community Empowerment Agency (DPMD) H Suwignyo said on Monday that his office is currently and intensively socializing BUMDes to all sub-districts in the district.
"Socialization and establishment of BUMDes is important because its existence is very helpful to the economy of the villagers," he said.
In Tanah Bumbu there are 144 villages and 81 villages already have BUMdes. While the rest, some are preparing the process and some are not.
In order for all villages to have BUMdes, then DPMD continues to socialize for the target and program can be realized by the period of 2018.
Meanwhile, for the capital of village-owned enterprises local government has budgeted through a one-billion-for-one-village program (equity participation).
"One of the villages that already has BUMDes is Serdangan Village in Kusan Hilir Subdistrict. This BUMDes has been able to accommodate the handicraft products of its citizens," he said.
With the existence of BUMDes, the craftsmen are very helpful and no longer need to find buyers or sell it to the market. Simply just bring them to the village and will be purchased.
Serdangan Village Head Andi Tanra Fitriadi said BUMDes is now growing. Because the citizens can be sure to get the money as long as they do handicraft and develop the business.
