Banjarmasin, S Kalimatan (ANTARA) - Banjarmasin Public Polytechnic or Poliban in South Kalimantan held a public lecture on "Building Technology-Based Entrepreneurship and Businesses," by partnering with PT NET Sun Power, a leading provider of solar energy and technology.
Poliban's Deputy Director I for Academic Affairs H Ahmad Rizani here on Thursday said that the public lecture is important for students to gain insights and firsthand experience in the industry world.
"Why this is important? Because learning process isn't limited to campus, but also through knowledge and experience in the workplace. Here, we can keep up with developments in the world of work," he said.

The theme of the public lecture was very interesting, he said, especially that Poliban presented CEO of PT NET Sun Power Iswahyudi.
"Entrepreneurship isn't just about independence and creativity, but also opening opportunities, creating new jobs and developing soft skill," he said.
Poliban deeply appreciated and thanked CEO Iswahyudi for his willingness to provide learning, share experience and discuss business opportunities in technology sector. This is certainly very meaningful for students.
PT NET Sun Power CEO encouraged the participants to broaden their horizons and take bold step of becoming entrepreneurs.

"Job market and graduate ration are not comparable, so I urge my fellow students don't be afraid to take advantage of as many opportunities as posssible," he pointed out.
He shared one of the strategic steps to transform a techology idea into a successful business is building identity, going through the process, forging yourselves, exploring ideas and opportunities, validating them, and remain creative in developing sustainable innovations.
"Identity is crucial, because it will determine who you want to be in the future. And more importantly, do what you feel is right," he revealed.
Iswahyudi emphasized the importance of learning from successful practitioners.
"Start from now by experimenting with small tech business and creating valuable and useful products for the future," he said.
