Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Amanah Bangun Negeri Foundation (YABN) and PT Adaro Indonesia again showed their commitment in supporting education by providing 131 uniform packages for elementary school students in Paminggir Sub-district, Hulu Sungai Utara District, South Kalimantan.
Their aid, YABN chairperson Zuraida Murdia Hamdie said, was a form of a real support for basic education access, especially for children in remote and riverbank areas such as Paminggir.
"We understand the challange faced by communities living in remote areas, and this program (is expected) to help ease the burden of parents and increase children's enthusism for learning," she said in Amuntai, Wednesday.
The distribution of a total of 131 school uniform packages was a symbol of hope and bright future for students.

She said the program was a form of synergy between company and social institution in supporting the growth and development of Indonesian children as a whole.
The uniform package distribution targeted two state elementary school (SDN), SDN Paminggir received 51 packages and SDN Paminggir Seberang obtained 80 packages.
YABN together with representatives of PT Adaro Indonesia directly handed over the packages early this week as part of “One Uniform, a Million Hope” program.
Each package consisted of red and white uniform, scout uniform, shoes, school bag, and a complete stationery.
The packages were prepared specifically to support learning readiness of students from pre-prosperous families.
Principal of SDN Paminggir, Samaniatul Huda, expressed high appreciation to YABN and PT Adaro Indonesia for their assistance.
"This assistance is very useful for students, because they are still wearing old uniform and makeshift school appliances. Now they can learn more confident and comfortably," she said.
One Uniform, a Million Hopes program is one of the company's social care program with the aim of supporting equal access to education for children from underprivileged families in the company's operational areas.
