Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - PT Adaro Andalan Indonesia's One Uniform a Million Hope program has made Sayid (8 years), student at SD Negeri 2 Pemarangan Kiwa, Tabalong District, South Kalimantan, enthusiastic about achieving hisdesire to continue to attend school.
The third of four siblings is now at grade 2 of a public elementary school. His father is a rubber farmer and his mother accompanies and looks after him and his little brother.
“You have to go to school to be smart, study hard, so you can work at Adaro as your dreams,” said Djohan Nurjadi, HR & GA Director of PT Adaro Indonesia when handing over a uniform package to hi, Thursday (January 23, 2025).

While kneeling, Djohan and President Director of PT Adaro Indonesia Priyadi patiently helped Sayyid put on a new uniform.
“very handsome,” said Djohan smiling.
When Sayyid told his dream of working for Adaro, Djohan encouraged him with great hope.
Then, Djohan put a hat and a backpack on Sayyid.
The boy smiled broadly, showing off his new uniform completely fitted.
“New uniform, new bag, the spirit must also be new,” said Djohan closing the meeting.
This journey was only about sharing, but also instilling hope in the hearts of children, who will one day become agents of change for the nation.
The uniform package assistance was a form of the company's dedication and warmth in giving hope to the young generation in Tabalong.
Even though it was raining and the roads were muddy, they did not fade Adaro's team to meet children at SDN 2 Pamarangan Kiwa.

That day, Djohan and his entourage distributed school uniform and equipment packages to 117 children, part of a total 2,542 packages that would be distributed in Tabalong District.
They attended the ceremony, when PT Adaro Indonesia (part of PT Adaro Andalan Indonesia) employees and Adaro Foundation (Yayasan Adaro Bangun Negeri) handed over the packages as a form concern for elementary school students.
Their social care by providing school uniform was a form of tehir active role as members of Adaro Workers Organization (OPA) who hope that children can focus more on studying and achieving their dreams.
