Rantau, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Tapin District could be proud of the figure of Abdi Jaya Solihin (24), young farmer from Harapan Masa Village, South Tapin.
Born from farmers family in Banjarnegara District, Central Java in 1992, Abdi would bring the name of Tapin in Sakura State of Japan.
He is the only young farmer who will represent Kalimantan for a two-year apprenticeship in horticulture agriculture in Japan.
"Alhamdulillah after succeeding through four selection, I was finally chosen to represent Kalimantan for an apprenticeship in Japan in the field of horticultural agriculture," he said on Wednesday (23/5).
Abdi since childhood loves farming. His success through the selection by the verification team of the Ministry of Agriculture thanks to his tenacity steeped in agriculture and support of both parents.
Previously, Regent Tapin HM Arifin Arpan expressed his pride on the success of Abdi Jaya Solihin to gain agricultural knowledge in Japan representing Kalimantan.
"After coming home from the apprenticeship, we will immediately accommodate him to make agriculture in Tapin better and go forward again," said regent.
Regent hope the figure of the young farmer can be example and a motivation for other youth not to be ashamed as being a farmer.
