Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The City Government of Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, maintained its first ranking position in the 2024 Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Monitoring Center for Prevention (MCP) evaluation.
Mayor Muhammad Aditya Mufti Ariffin here on Thursday said Banjarbaru's MCP achievement was recorded at 97.03 percent and was ranked 20th nationally.
"The 2024 MCP evaluation achievement has risen by 6.09 percent compared to last year and is ranked 20 in national, while in South Kalimantan it ranked first," he said.
Aditya and Deputy Mayor Wartono chaired a coordination and evaluation meeting for KPK MCP with the Regional Apparatus Work Unit (SKPD) heads.
He asserted the importance of synergy between regional government and KPK in safeguarding accountability and transparency in government administration carried out in the region.
"The purpose of evaluation is to look at achievement and a stragetic steps forward to conduct clean governance and integrity. With KPK MCP we can measure that," he said.
KPK MCP is an instrument to monitor and evaluate performance of regional government in efforts to prevent corruption and strengthen the corruption prevention system.
