Banjarmasin, S Kalimatan (ANTARA) - The South Kalimantan Treasury Directorate General (DJPb Kalsel) recorded the province's 2023 budget revenue grew by 21.44 percent with a total achievement of approximately Rp37.69 trillion.
Head of the DJPb Syafriadi here on Friday presented the achievement of South Kalimantan budget (APBD) after the dissemination of the province's 2023 fiscal performance and Bank Indonesia South Kalimantan economic report at DJPb office.
“This growth in APBD revenue is the result of comparation between the 2022 and 2023 period which increased by 21.44 percent. It shows that the fiscal performance in South Kalimantan grows very positively,” he said.
Meanwhile, the central fiscal performance in South Kalimantan related to the 2023 state budget (APBN) revenue reached Rp24.17 trillion or grew 32.55 percent compared to the previous period.
“The strong economic growth will have a positive impact on people's welfare and it was proven by the decrease in poverty from 4.61 percen in 2022 to 4.29 percent in 2023,” he said.
Economic growth also increases employment oppotunities by reducing unemployment from 4.74 percent in 2022 to 4.31 percent in 2023.
South Kalimantan's Human Development Index has also showed quite significant progress at 74.66 in 2023.
Thus, Syafriadi expounded about the importance of fiscal and monetary policy collaboration between the Ministry fo Finance and Bank Indonesia to maintain better economic growth at the center and in the regions.
“This collaboration needs to continue to report consistently what economic growth and development looks like,” said Syafriadi.
Deputy Head of BI South Kalimantan Bimo Epyanto said that the cooperationb between the two institutions must be well established, one of which is collaborating to provide input and suggestion to the provincial and district/city governments in term of regional and economic and financial development.
The dissemination of the 2023 fiscal performance and BI South Kalimantan economic reports was also attended by OJK Regional 9 Kalimantan, BPS, South Kalimantan Provincial Government, South Kalimantan Office of Finance Ministry, and local experts.
