Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The government of Tanah Bumbu District, South Kalimantan, encouraged the growth of economy and MSMEs (locally popular as UMKM) business through Ramadan Cake Fair.
"Ramadhan Cake Fair 2024 is held for one month by providing booths for MSMEs and culinary sector for free," said Tanah Bumbu Regent Zairullah Azhar in Batulicin, Wednesday.
The Regent, who was accompanied by Head of Culture, Youth, Sports and Tourism Office (Disbudporapar) Syamsuddin, said that Ramadan fair contributes to local economic growth, and becomes an income opportunity for community.

Ramadan fair, which involves hundreds of MSMEs, helps marketing local products to be better known to wider community.
"In addition, we are graterful that Ramadan fair helps Muslim in providing iftar menu," said Zairullah.
Head of Creative Economy of the Disbudporapar Edy Sukmawardi added that Ramadan fair is a yearly agenda as a form of government concern in accomodating MSMEs players.
"Traders mecome more creative in serving their products and developing their business that making visitors increasingly interested in buying," said Edy.
One of visitors from Kupang Berkah Jaya village, Simpang Empat Sub-district, Umy Halimah, said she was excited welcoming Ramadan fair.
"Alhamdulillah, Ramadhan fair is held again this year, there are many choices of cake to choose for breaking fast," she said.
Some residents use Ramadan fair for recreation while waiting time to break the fast.
