Banjarmasin, S Kalimatan (ANTARA) - South Kalimantan Kafilah won three tickets to the final at the 27th National Tilawatil Qur’an Selection and Hadits Competition (STQH) which took place October 29 - November 7, 2023 in Jambi.
Head of MTQ Team for Islamic Information, Zakat and Wakaf (Penaiszawa) of the South Kalimantan Office of Religious Affairs Ministry (Kemenag) Mahalli here on Monday said three South Kalimantan participants qualified for the final in tahfiz (memorizing) and tilawah (recitation).
Tahfiz branch represented by Difa Salma Pertiwi for Al-Qur'an 1-5 juz and tilawah represented by Nida Khairiah and Mufidatul Husna.

"We are grateful and proud that our children have fought with the utmost to achieve this achievement," he said.
He hopes the three female participants will win championship for the good name of "Banua" (South Kalimantan).
South Kalimantan sent kafilah (contingent) of 20 tahfiz and tilawah participants for children tilawah, adult tilawah, tahfiz 1 juz, 5 juz, 10 juz, 20 juz, and 30 juz. Then Indonesian and Arabic tafsir, and memorizing 100 hadits with their sanad and 500 hadits with ther sanad.
Penaiszawa Head Ahmad Bugdadi opined that these results are not optimal, but still grateful because three South Kalimantan participants entered the final round.
“Looking at the preliminary round, in general South Kalimantan participants were in the top 10. This means that South Kalimantan can compete in all branches and groups, but because all participants were the best people, some have to be eliminated," he said.
