Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The District Government of Tanah Bumbu, South Kalimantan, provides low price market in Karang Bintang Sub-district in effort to curb inflation.
Head of the Tanah Bumbu Cooperative, Micro Business, Trade, and Industry Office (Kumdagri) Hamaluddin Tahir here on Thursday said some of the basic needs provided are rice, cooking oil, coffee, and soy sauce.
"We also provide various other basic necessities such as wheat flour, instant noodle, eggs at prices that cheaper than the market," he said.
Unbranded package rice from Rp78,000 becomes Rp68,000/sack of 5 kg, cooking oil Fitria Rp19,000 to Rp17,500, Kapal Api coffee Rp23,000 to p21,000/pack, sweet soy sauce from Rp4,500 to Rp3,300/pack.
Besides preventing inflation, the market is provided to help people get basic needs at cheaper prices.
Kumdagri involved TP PKK Tanah Bumbu, Food Security and Agriculture Office, PT Khong Guan Group, PT Indofood, and PT Kalimas Kharisma in the activity.
"We would like to thank the companies for this event to carry out well," said Hamaluddin.
Chair of TP PKK Hj Wahyu Windarti Zairullah Azhar welcomed the activities held by Kumdagri Office to help people get basic commodities at low price.
On that occasion, Chair of Tanah Bumbu TP PKK Hj Wahyu Windarti handed over basic food packages for elderly people.
Also present were Head of Karang Bintang Sub-district Syafruddin, the Regency TP PKK, sub-district and villages TP PKK, as well as companies.
