Banjarmasin, S Kalimatan (ANTARA) - Minister of Environment and Forestry (LHK) Siti Nurbaya Bakar awarded 62 villages in South Kalimantan Province with Climate Village Program (Proklim) awards and received directly by Governor Sahbirin Noor.
“South Kalimantan received several categories of Proklim development awards, namely Proklim Lestari, Tropi Utama, Sertifikat Utama, and supporting categories for three companies,” said Head of South Kalimantan Environment Office Hanifah Dwi Nirwana when confirmed here, Tuesday.
The awards presented as a form of the Ministry's appreciation and recognition for the achievements of site-level climate change, including appreciation for local government and business world who are committed to supporting climate change mitigation adaptation actions.
“We want to commit to increasing and maintaining environmental activities in the form of climate change management actions,” she said.
Dia menuturkan upaya itu untuk menciptakan lingkungan hidup yang asri dan kondusif, especially in South Kalimantan.
The 62 receiving awards villages are, the highest category Proklim Lestari received by five villages, Mandikapau Barat (Banjar District), Danda Jaya (Barito Kuala), Sungai Miai (Banjarmasin), Karang Taruna (Tanah Laut), Asri Mulya (Tanah Laut).
Proklim Tropi Utama (Main Trophies) were given to six villages, namely Pengambangan Bersinar (Banjarmasin), Mandikapau Timur (Banjar), Maburai (Tabalong), Al-Kautsar (Tanah Bumbu), Sungai Bakar (Tanah Laut), and Hiyung (Tapin).
Then, 51 villages received Sertifikat Utama (Main Certificate) awards.
For the first time, South Kalimantan received Proklim awards in the supporting category given to three companies, PT Talenta Bumi, PT Indocement Tunggal Prakasa Tbk Unit Tarjun, and PT Arutmin Indonesia Tambang Asam-Asam.
The awards presentation was coupled with the inauguration of RKKIK (Collaboration House and Climate and Carbon Consultation).
Governor Sahbirin Noor when receiving the award was accompanied by Banjarmasin Mayor, Regent of Banjar, acting Regent of Barito Kuala, acting Regent of South Hulu Sungai, Tabalong Regent, Kotabaru Regent, acting Regent of Tanah Laut, and representative of Tapin acting Regent.
Also attending Head of Environment Office Hanifah Dwi Nirwana together with the ranks of districts and cities, heads of villages and companies who recevied the awards.
