Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The district government of Kotabaru warmly welcomed the South Kalimantan Provincial Government delegation who visited the "Earth of Saijaan" for Ramadan 1447 Hijri Safari, centered at the Siring Laut Floating Mosque.
Deputy Regent H Syairi Mukhlis expressed his gratitude to the delegation that chose Kotabaru Regency as one of the provincial government's destination for Ramadan Safari.
“On behalf of the government and the people of Kotabaru, we welcome the delegation of South Kalimantan Provincial Government. This presence demonstrates your concern and strengthens relationship between the provincial and the regional governments,” he said here as reported on Friday.

The Kotabaru government, he stated, will remain committed to support various development programs align with the South Kalimantan Provincial Government's policies to improve people welfare.
Strong synergy between the provincial and district government is a key to achieve sustainable regional development.
The South Kalimantan Provincial Government's Assistant for General Administration Dinansyah stated that the Ramadan Safari is not only a religious event, but also a way to strengthen relation between the government and the local community.

“This activity demonstrates togetherness between the provincial government, the district government, and the community in promoting the holy month of Ramadan and strengthening ties (silaturahmi),” he said.
On that occasion, some assistances were distributed to the community as a form of the government's concern and attention during the holy month of Ramadan.
A religious lecture was then delivered by Ustadz H. Aban Rasyid, followed by dhikr. The event concluded with a communal breaking of the fast and Maghrib prayer.
