Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Regent of Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, Sayed Jafar appreciated the Lowo cave Festival which goes national and boosts the people's economy.
"The regional government is very proud of the holding of the 2023 Lowo Cave Festival introducing the Lowo Cave tourist destination to the national level and revives the creative economy-based community economy," said the Regent in Kotabaru, Thursday.
Previously, the Regent closed the 2023 Lowo Cave Festival which took place August 12-23, 2023 in Tegal Rejo Village, Kelumpang Hilir Sub-distrct.
He said this festival will be an attraction for both local and foreign tourists so it will have a positive impact on tourism sector and MSMEs to boost the village economy.
He hopes that the festival will continue to be held in the next years with more lively.

Director of Pesona Rejo Jaya BUMDes (village-owned enterprise) Tri Widodo said the festival was held to commemorate the 78th Independence Day as well as the 41st anniversary of the Tegal Rejo Village and the 3rd for Lowo Cave.
"This festival has grown MSMEs not only in Tegal Rejo village, but will encourage other MSMEs in nine villages in Kelumpang Hilir Sub-district," he said.
At the same time, he added, it became an event to introduce cultural art from various cultures in the 9 villages.
"Today Lowo Cave is known at the national level for its tourist destination," he said.
