Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Agency of Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, is getting ready to improve the structure of road section in the form of one-layer hot rolled sheet (HRS) paving along 2,405 meters on Jalan Mangka, West Pamukan Sub-district.
"The road is 2,405 meters long, five meters wide, with the final product in the form of one-layer HRS asphalt, with a 2023 budget of Rp4.6 billion," said Head of Highways of the Agency Agus Tri Prasetiawan in Kotabaru, Friday.
According to Agus, the improvement of road sections using one layer of HRS asphalt is the result of an assessment of road culture that is already congested with low category traffic flow.
This work uses HRS type asphalt, which is an all-graded mixture with coarse aggregate and fine aggregate suitable for roads with medium Daily Traffic (LHR) levels.
"The work will be carried out in 2023 and will soon enter the auction process with an estimated work of approximately five calendar months," he said.
The auction process will begin in the early to third week of April.
Mangka Road access is a connecting route for five villages and access to West Pamukan Sub-district which has an important category. It is used by the community to mobilize people and goods and transport plantation products with the majority of the population farming.
It is also the main access to education centers, both junior and senior high schools in West Pamukan.
