Tanjung, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Danau Biru or Blue Lake located on the border of Tabalong and North Hulu Sungai (HSU) is managed independently by the landowner and local community, including the construction of facilities therein.
Previously, Danau Biru, whose land is a private property, is a diamond panning area. But then it turned into a lake with a panoramic view of the lake water becomes blue to green.
"Land in the Danau Biru is a private from our parent's inheritance. It was formerly a panning diamonds and now it become a lake that would be a natural tourist attraction, because the water is blue and green," said Irham, the owner of the lake, in Tanjung, Sunday.
Irham claimed to have received an offer from the Government of Tabalong and also from HSU administration to work together to manage and develop the tourist attraction in an area of five hectares.
However Irham prefers to manage it independently by involving local communities to help increase their income, although the facilities provided are still minimal.
At Blue Lake tourist attractions, visitors can enjoy the beauty of the lake water, while boarding rafts to cross the lake to the wooden hut that can be used to relax.
"In the last two months the number of visitors is quite crowded, especially on Saturday and Sunday. While the facilities that we have built with funds from the influx of visitors," said Irham.
From Tanjung to the Blue Lake is about 45 kilometers. It is located at the border between the Sub-district of Pugaan (Tabalong) and North Hulu Sungai.
