Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - After successfully vaccinating thousands of its employees and their families, PT Adaro Energy Tbk through the “Adaro Fighting for Indonesia” program again holds free COVID-19 vaccination targeting the wider community inSouth and Central Kalimantan.
A total of 15,000 free vaccines will be distributed by Adaro by the end of October 2021 to support the acceleration in the two regions, precisely in five districts, namely Tabalong, Balangan, North Hulu Sungai (HSU), East Barito (Bartim), and South Barito (Barsel).
President Director of PT Adaro Energy Tbk Garibaldi Thohir said, “Adaro is committed to always present and playing an active role in helping the government stem the COVID-19 pandemic."
Previously, Adaro had donated hundreds of oxygen concentrators and thousands of vitamin packages to several areas of the same districts.
"We hope that more people get the vaccine and their immune system increase, so the risk of contracting COVID-19 can be minimized,” he pointed out.
Adaro fully understands that moral and material support will greatly assist the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, thus the company is committed to playing an active role in helping the government to become the winner of this struggle.
Of the 15,000 first phase vaccines, 5,500 will be distributed with 10 distribution points for Tabalong, 4,500 vaccines with 21 points distributes for Balangan.
While HSU will receive 1,000 vaccines at seven points, Barsel 2,500 vaccines at 8 points, and Bartim 1,500 at 5 points of distribution.
Vaccination will begin from October 24 to 27 in Bartim, Central Kalimantan, and in Tabalong, South Kalimantan.
