Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - PT Adaro Energy Tbk has again strengthened Indonesia's response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Through the “Adaro Berjuang Untuk Indonesia” program, the company handed over 65 oxygen concentrators to Tabalong and Balangan Districts, Wednesday (Sept 1, 2021).
President Director of PT Adaro Energy Tbk Garibaldi Thohir directly handed over the oxygen concentrators assistance and vitamin packages to Tabalong Regent Anang Syakhfiani at the H Badaruddin Kasim General Hospital.
"Adaro understands very well that moral and material support will greatly assist the handling of COVID-19 patients in Tabalong," said Garibaldi.
This support was a form of Adaro's commitment to always be present and play an active role in assisting the government in handling COVID-19.
The oxygen concentrators will complement the facilities in the hospitals and other health facilities in treating COVID-19 patients who need oxygen.
Regent Anang Syakhfiani expressed his appreciation forAdaro's involvement in efforts to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19.
"The medicine and oxygen concentrators assistance are urgently needed and Adaro's involvement really supports the success to break the chain of COVID-19 spread," said Anang.
The total assistance distributed in the company's operational area was 300 oxygen concentrators and 40,000 packages of masks and vitamins.
There were 15 health facilities that received the aid, including the Badaruddin Kasim Hsopital in Tabalong, Balangan Hospital in Balangan, Pembalah Batung Hospital in HSU, H Abdul Aziz Hospital in Barito Kuala, Puruk Cahu Hospital in Murung Raya, Central Kalimantan, and Dr Doris Sylvanus Hospital in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan.
Including several hospitals in Banjarbaru City, Banjar District, Kotabaru and Tanah Laut, Ulin Hospital inBanjarmasin, and several other health facilities.
Previously, Adaro also handed over Rp20 billion to the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) for handling COVID- 19.
