Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Acting Regent of Kotabaru H Said Akhmad closed the 33rd Quran Recital Competition or the Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (MTQ) at the district level and declared that the implementation was successful.
“Congratulation to winners, don't be complacent. Keep pushing yourselves and be more active in practicing the musabaqah branches you are engaged in, so you can get to the higher level of achievement,” he said.
Said Akhmad hopes that the MTQ to inspire the younger generation to continue reading, memorizing, and practicing the teaching of Al-Quran (amaliah Qurani), so that the spirit of good morals is reflected in daily social life.
He expressed his gratitude and high appreciation to the organizing committee, the panel of judges, and all those who supported the implementation of the 33rd National MTQ at the Kotabaru District level in 2021.
“Alhamdulillah, the event ran smoothly and successfully from the beginning to the end, to produce worthy qori and qoriah (Al-Quran reciters), hafiz and hafizah (Al-Quran memorizers), muffasir and mufassirah (Al-Quran translators) to compete at the higher level,” he said.

1st Chief Patron of the Quran Reading Competition Institute (LPTQ) Kotabaru H Julkifli BT said that the district level MTQ was held in a very simple event, considering the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
LPTQ, he said, will prepare qori and qoriah to advance to the MTQ at the provincial level in Tanah Bumbu District.
