Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Kotabaru Regional Disaster Management Agency or BPBD prepared 100 tons of rice to help the disaster victims.
"A total of 100 tonnes of rice are now deposited in Bulog Kotabaru and any time required can be directly distributed," said Head of BPBD Tri Basuki Rahmat, Monday.
In addition to preparing the rice, BPBDs Kotabaru together with relevant agencies also prepares a buffer stock, such as food, blankets, and tents for the victims.
Especially for clean water during the dry season, BPBDs Kotabaru also prepared three tank unit for clean water, which each have a capacity of 5,000 liters.
While in line with the arrival of the rainy season, BPBDs Kotabaru together with military, police, SAR, community organizations, recently held a coordination meeting and muster, to alert personnel and infrastructure at any time when a disaster occurs.
He said Kotabaru district is a disaster-prone isles, especially tornados, floods, and landslides.
