Paringin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Bihara Hilir Village in Awayan Sub-district, Balangan, at the end of 2020 won the main title of Climate Village at the national level.
As one of the fostered village of PT Pamapersada Nusantara (PAMA ADRO), Bihara Hilir Village received a certificate of appreciation and a trophy from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry on December 1, 2020 at the South Kalimantan Environment Office.
This certificate of appreciation from the Minister of Environment and Forestry Dr Ir Siti Nurbaya M.Sc was a proof of commitment and good cooperation from related parties to local government and the private sector.
Previously in 2019, Bihara Hilir Village also won the title of Climate Village at the provincial level of South Kalimantan.

PAMA ADRO CSR Manager Ono Karno said that since 2016 the fostering has been carried out through social responsibility or CSR program.
"We support the climate village program through the development of the local MSMEs," Ono said while mentioning among other things are the development of leading ant sugar products, guiding of adiwiyata school, posyandu, garbage bank, and the improvement of the village facilities.
Head of the Balangan Environment Agency Musa Abdullah expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the ranks of Bihara Hilir Village government and PAMA ADRO for this achievement.
"This achievement can be a trigger for other villages to implement the climate village program," said Musa.
