Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The General Hospital of dr. Andi Abdurrahman Noor in Batulicin, Tanah Bumbu District, has so far no specialist doctor in heart and lung.
"Until now, we do not have a medical expert in that field to handle patients who seek treatment," said Director of the Hospital Syaiful through the hospital's Head of Administration Saleh in Batulicin Wednesday.
So far, he said, patients who sought treatment for heart and lungs, were referred to Banjarmasin. Unless the patient's condition is possible to be treated in Tanah Bumbu.
Other medical personnel, such as ophthalmologists, dermatologists, pediatricians, other specialists, pharmacists, nurses, midwives are sufficient.
Saleh said, actually there is one doctor who completed his lung specialist education, but is still in the filling process at the Tanah Bumbu Employment Agency (BKD).
In the current pandemic condition, the hospital must refer patients who are suspected of being exposed to the coronavirus to Ulin Hospital in Banjarmasin and Tanah Laut Hospital.
"Most of the patients we refer were not only indicated for corona but have a history other severe diseases, thus they need special treatment," he said.
From March until now, the hospital has handled 419 patients suspected of having contracted the coronavirus.
