Paringin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Balangan COVID-19 Task Force said a budget of about Rp38 billion for COVID-19 handling has also went into the handling of economic impact till the matters of rubber price.
Balangan Regent H Ansharuddin through the spokesperson of the COVID-19 Task Force H Syaifuddin Tailah said, previously the budget allocated was only Rp11.5 billion.
"After discussions and consultations on budget shifts related to COVID-19 handling in Balangan, the fund was raised to about Rp38 billion," he said.
He explained that the large budget was also used in the handling of economic and social impact on the community. Even to the provision of credit stimulus for collectors of farmers rubber amounting Rp15 billion.
"It was done considering the Balangan community;s economy is mostly derived from rubber production. Credit stimulus to the collector was given in order farmers can still sell their rubber," he said.
The increase of shift in the amount of funds is done in the budget program that is not related to the public directly.
While the related budget, such as health and education, according to him, was carried out blocking, meaning the budget is not changed.
"The shift in the budget in these offices is used in the handling of the coronavirus which is growing and is handed over to each team as budget user," he said.
Meanwhile, Head of Balangan Financial Agency H Tamrin Tailah said, this was according to the Minister of Home Affairs' No 1/2020 instruction of shifting of budget for handling of the COVID-19 global pandemic.
It was hoped that through the budget shift policy, the spread and impact of COVID-19 can be handled well and quickly ends.
