Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The 2020 National Press Day’s (HPN) celebration to be held on February 7-10 and hosted by South Kalimantan will be enlivened with various activities, from social care, health care, seminar, national press convention, to ministers with different activities.
Secretary of South Kalimantan branch of the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) Yusni Hardi said here, Monday (Jan 27, 2020), the celebration will be carried out di seven places.
He named the places are Aria Barito Hotel, Best Western Hotel, G-Sign Hotel, Mahligai Pancasila Building, University of Lambung Mangkurat, Nol (Zero) Kilometer (all are in Banjarmasin), then the South Kalimantan Provincial offices in Banjarbaru.
There will be a social service by distributing staple food (sembako) for poor residents on February 7, then a seminar on public service innovation, Adinegoro discussion at the HPN 2020 campus, and the launching of mayor's book.
A gala dinner will be served by the prospective host of the 2021 HPN, Southeas Sulawesi, then a meeting consolidation of Journalists' Wife Association (IKWI), National Working Meeting of SIWO (the Indonesian Sports Journalist Association), awarding and dialogue in culture.
Free medical treatment and additional nutrition providing to eliminate stunting will be on February 8, together with millennial forum seminar, national media convention, and investment seminar with the theme "Building South Kalimantan Toward the State Capital Gate".
"In the evening a welcome dinner by the Governor of South Kalimantan with all participants of the 2020 HPN," Yusni Hardi said.
February 9, 2020 will be a peak of the celebration, he pointed out, to be attended by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Ir H Joko Widodo and about 4,500 participants.
"From February 7 to the peak of HPN a press exhibition will be held at the front of the embankment (popularly known here as siring) of Martapura River Banjarmasin, precisely at the Nol (Zero)Kilometer Banjarmasin," he said.
Meanwhile, some ministers are planned to come to attend the HPN, and their activities will be in the series of the HPN.
"Minister of Health is planned to inaugurate the Ulin Provincial Hospital (RSUD) Banjarmasin as a heart disease referral hospital, and the construction of correctional house in South Kalimantan will be officiated by Minister of Law and Human Rights," he said.
In addition to ministers, a number of ambassadors also planned to attend the celebrations.
