Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - The Banjarbaru Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) will raise the blood type of civil servants (PNS) within the local municipality.
Secretary of Banjarbaru PMI M Siddin on Sunday said the move was made to make it easier if there is a need for the blood groups in need. "If any member of the public require a certain blood type we will contact PNS with the same blood type and would be expected to donate blood," he said.
He said PMI would cooperate with heads of agencies working units (SKPD) of Banjarbaru municipal government in the inventory of each blood group of civil servants across the city government.
He described, inventory of each PNS blood type had been done several years ago but the data has not been updated. PMI immediately updated it so that PNS blood type can be recorded completely.
UTD Banjarbaru still lacks of blood to meet the needs of community members who require blood so Banjarbaru PMI works to help ensure the supply of blood sufficient. ***
