Indocement opens its plant for school tour

Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Cemen maker PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa opens its Plant 12 in Tarjun, Kotabaru Regency, for educational tour for school students and teachers.

PT Indocement Tarjun CSR Sect Head Fadlianor through SDP Coordinator Hatijah said this activity is part of the implementation of the company's pillar of education program.

"With this agenda, we hope students can be educated from early age,” she said.

Principal of Mawar Kindergarten, Pelajau Baru, Kelumpang Hilir Sub-district, Zahrul Maisyah, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to visit and provide education in the Indocement factory environment. 

"This education tour visit is a manifestation of Merdeka curriculum program," she said.

The Principal of TK Negeri Pembina kindergarten from Simpang Empat Sub-district, Tanah Bumbu District, Imas Mintarsih, said children were happy to have the opportunity, experience and knowledge about cement factory. 

PT Indocement Tarjun received the students visit from Mawar Kindergarten, Kotabaru District, on October 23, 2024. A total of 58 children and 14 supervising and accompanying teachers visited. 

Then on October 24, 2024 there were 16 teachers and supervisors from TK Negeri Pembina Tanah Bumbu.

The school tour was filled with educational activities in the form of a light fire extinguishing simulation from Safety Dept, introducing fruit, vegetables, types of plants, sambar deer and gibbon. 

Then, continued with introduction to the Indocement factory by taking a factory tour and explaining the raw material for cement and a brief process for making cement.
