Banjarmasin, 3/6 (Antaranews, South Kalimantan) - South Kalimantan, Central Agency of Statistics said the export value of the province in April 2013 reached US $712.43 million, down 18.75 per cent compared to March 2013.
Similarly, compared to April 2012, April 2013 exports fell 27.26 percent, said the head of the local provincial BPS Iskandar Zulkarnain, in Banjarmasin, Monday.
The main contributor to the largest export commodity of South Kalimantan in April 2013 based on the code of the two digits Harmonized System (HS) are mineral fuels (HS 27) with a value of US $604.27 million.
Then a group of fat and animal/vegetable oil (HS 15) with a value of US $60.11 million and a group of ore, slag, and ash metals (HS 26) with a value of US $23.02 million.
The main countries of South Kalimantan export destination are to China in April 2013 with a value of US $239.30 million, India with a value of US $211.25 million and Japan with US $112.35 million.
While the value of its imports in April 2013 was US $279.19 million, up 73.70 percent compared to March 2013, which reached US $160.73 million.
The main commodities imported to South Kalimantan in April 2013 based on the code of the 2-digit Harmonized System (HS) comprised of mineral fuels (HS 27) with a value of US $262.58 million. Then the group of ships (HS 89) with a value of US $11.18 million and a group of organic chemicals (HS 29) with a value of US $1.56 million.
South Kalimantan supplier of imported products in April 2013, the largest of Malaysia with a value of US $131.44 million, Singapore with US $100.67 million, and South Korea with US $37.13 million.
