Banjarbaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Chief of the Banjarbaru Police Resort Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Kelana Jaya destroyed the first class drug type of methamphetamine worth Rp1 billion with hundreds of ecstasy pills belonging to the international drug network.
The destruction was carried out with the Dandim (Commander of Military District of) 1006/Mtp Lt. Col. Arm Siswo Budiarto, Chair of the MUI Nafiah Muhja, representatives of Prosecutors Office (Kejari) and the District Court by being blended and thrown into the toilet.
"The amount of meth seized was 395.11 grams and 987.5 ecstasy pills. A small portion was made as evidence of the trial, so that 394.01 grams of sabu-sabu and 978.5 ecstasy pills are destroyed," said the police chief in the extermination that took place in Banjarbaru Police headquarters on Wednesday.
He said, two types of illicit goods were confiscated from the hands of Has, a suspect who allegedly a syndicates of international networks and was arrested by Drug Unit personnel on Tuesday (16/7).

According to him, the destruction of the evidence as a form of seriousness of the ranks of the Banjarbaru Police to combat the circulation and abuse of narcotics in addition to preventing if abused by officers.
"We are very serious about preventing and combating the circulation and abuse of narcotics and continue to socialize to the entire community to avoid being involved in it," he said.

Dandim 1006/Mtp Lt. Col. Arm Siswo Budiarto stated that he supports the elimination of narcotics which have a huge impact on the future of members of the community, especially the young generation of the nation.
"We are here to witness and annihilate as a form of TNI support in combating all forms of narcotics abuse and we are ready to help the police eradicate it," said dandim.
