Banjarmasin Education Office issued a policy to postpone the implementation of face-to-face learning in six urban villages for the reason of COVID-19 orange zone status.
Head of the office Totok Agus Daryanto here on Sunday said that a notification letter had been issued to schools in the six urban villages to delay face-to-face learning.
"This notification letter applies for kindergarten (TK/PAUD), elementary (SD), and junior high school (SMP) level, both public and private, which are located in six orange zone urban villages," he said.
The six orange zone urban villages according to the update from the Banjarmasin COVID-19 Task Force are Sungai Miai, Sungai Andai, Surgi Mufti, Pekapuran, Pemurus Dalam, and Tanjung Pagar.

"We are delaying face-to-face learning until there are further developments, so students in these six urban villages take distance or online learning," he said.
Other urban villages, said Totok Agus, are 46 urban villages still in the status of the green and yellow zone. They remain on schedule to carry out face-to-face learning starting July 12, 2021.
