The Banjarbaru City Government is ready to carry out mass vaccination that all residents can participate in with the aim to achieve herd immunity that preventing residents from COVID-19. 

"City government ready to hold mass vaccination with the target all members of the community (so we can) reach herd immunity," said Mayor H M Aditya Mufti Ariffin in Banjarbaru, Sunday.

It is also a form of support for the government's policy to protect people from the transmission of COVID-19, which cases is quite high in the city. 

The mass vaccination will be carried out twice. The first is on July 13 in collaboration with the Banjarbaru Prosecutor's Office (Kejari). It is held at puskesmas (community health centers), so residents can come.

The second stage is on July 17 at the yard of the Bina Satria Building in front of Murjani Square. It will receive every member of the community who wants to be vaccinated. 

"Anyone can register, just show your ID. Then undergo an examination. If you meet the requirement, you get the vaccine jab," said Mayor. 

Banjarbaru prepares 1,500 to 2,.500 vaccines for the mass vaccination. It is expected that all quotas will be fulfilled so that more people will have immunity.
