Batulicin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Tanah Bumbu (Tanbu) DistrictGovernment, South Kalimantan, together with the Indonesian District Administration Association (Apkasi) gave awards to disaster volunteers serving in Palu, Central Sulawesi.
"This award is expected to motivate and encourage our volunteers, especially in the event of various disasters," said Acting Head of the Tanbu Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) Eryanto Rais.
The volunteers for almost two months carried out humanitarian actions, both at the command post or the evacuation point. They took turns in two weeks. They focus on providing public kitchens and assisting in handling the health of disaster victims.
"What we have done at the disaster site was joined by the role of 3 agencies, namely the BPBD, the Social Agency, and the Health Agency," he explained.
He thanked the regent of Tanbu and Apkasi for facilitating this humanitarian activity.
Previously, Chairperson of Apkasi Mardani H. Maming expressed his appreciation to volunteers from Tanbu who had carried out humanitarian activities.
