Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Government of South Kalimantan will partners and learns from Mandalika tourist resort management, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, to develop the special economic zone (KEK) of Mekar Putih, Kotabaru.
The third Assistant of South Kalimantan Governments Syamsir Rahman here Wednesday said Mandalika has a geographical location and almost resembles the tourist area of South Kalimantan.
"We will learn and hope that Mandalika tourist management will help the development of Mekar Putih tourism through information exchange," he said.
Previously, the South Kalimantan Provincial Government together with journalists visited Mandalika in order to improve and develop tourist destinations, ranging from structuring, administration, and promotional strategies.
The delegation was greeted by the NTB First Assistant Agus Patria along with the relevant officials at the Provincial Government office.
Syamsir assessed the Mekar Putih and some tourist sites in South Kalimantan are actually no less beautiful than the other regions. It's just a strategy that has not been aggressively promoted.
"Such development strategies, which we want to sample and emulate from this visit," he said.
