Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Kotabaru Deputy Regent H Syairi Mukhlis, has inaugurated the new office of Bungkukan Village in Kelumpang Barat Sub-district.

He said the construction of the office was a concrete step in improving the quality of public services. 

The inauguration was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a direct inspection of facilities within the village office.

“This village office is not only a physical building, but a service center, administrative hub, and a symbol of village progress. It is hoped that with this new office, services to the community will be faster, more transparent and professional,” he said as reported on Wednesday.

He asked all village apparatus to maintain and make use of this facility optimally.

“Improve your performance, discipline and spirit to dedicate to the community,” he encouraged.

Deputy Regent also hopes that people of Bungkukan Village continue to support development programs, maintain togetherness, and play active role in advancing the village.

Head of Kelumpang Barat Sub-district, Syaifullah welcomed Deputy Regent adn welcomed him home, saying he was a native of the village. His visit was hoped to motivate the village government, the Kelumpang Barat Sub-district, to advance the region.

“The presence of Deputy Regent is a source of motivation for us, reminding us to think ahead about how to make Kelumpang Barat even more advanced under the leadership of our local man,” he said.

Bungkukan Village Head, Mashudi, explained that the old village office was solely borrowed from the local government, and the new office was built with village fund allocated for the 2024-2025 period. It will be a symbol of community pride.
