Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 27/8 (AntaranewsKalsel) - The city's crime detective police in collaboration with North Banjarmasin crime detective police is investigating the case of the dead infant found on Jalan Hasan Basri precisely in the drainage channel in front of Sultan Suriansyah Building.
"It is true, there was a finding of infant corpse in the drainage channel in front of the building and the police are conducting an investigation," said Banjarmasin Police Chief Sr Comr (Kombes) Anjar Wicaksana Sik here on Sunday.
The baby boy's body was found on Sunday morning, around 7 am. When found he was in a state of tilting and floating on the water and still with the umbilical cord.
"Possibly a newborn infant and allegedly thrown away by his irresponsible parents," said the police chief.
Once found, the dead infant was evacuated to the morgue of Ulin General Hospital Banjarmasin for a visum et revertum (VER).
"The case is under investigation and police have done the initial investigation on the crime scene (olah TKP) and questioned some people," said alumni of Akpol 1993.
The police chief also said, if the public has information related to the case please report in order the perpetrator of the baby's disposal quickly caught.
