Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Adaro Bangun Negeri Foundation (YABN) has transformed with a new identity Amanah Bangun Negeri Foundation (YABN) to carry out a broader and sustainable mandate and commitment.
Chairman of the Board of Trustee of the foundation Garibaldi Thohir said the transformation is part of the renewal of the foundation's direction and approach to be more strategic and in line with the major agenda of the national development.
"Through YABN, we are committed to carrry out the mandate to bring positive change to the country by supporting Indonesia's development and improving the quality of life of the community," said Boy Thohir.
The word “Amanah” which means trust and mandate, he said, highlights YABN's role in upholding the values of integrity, inclusiveness, empowerment, and sustainability.

This initiative marks a new chapter for YABN in creating synergy for CSR programs run by the PT Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk (AlamTri) and PT Adaro Andalan Indonesia Tbk (Adaro) group, so it is expected to provide a greater impact through five fields, education, health, environment, economy, and socio-culture.
While the new logo of YABN represents the values of solidarity, humanity and collaboration.
YABN chairperson Zuraida Murdia Hamdie said the change in name aims to maintain synergy between PT Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk (AlamTri) and PT Adaro Andalan Indonesia Tbk (Adaro).
"YABN is not just running programs, but also carrying out supervisory function so that the company's CSR is right on target. The change of name is to ensure synergy within the Adaro Group continues," Zuraida expounded.

The inauguration ceremony which coincided with the International Children's Day was attended by Board of Trustee of YABN Garibaldi Thohir and Christian Ariano Rachmat, the YABN Supervisory Board Mohammad Effendi and Budi Bowoleksono, as well as Chair of the foundation Zuraida Murdia Hamdie in Jakarta, Thursday.
Since it was found in 2009, YABN's five strategic fields have consistently provided sustainable impacts to the community.
In education, YABN through Grant Match program together with four foundations (William & Lily Foundation, Mochamad Thohir Foundation, Pelayanan Kasih A&A Rachmat Foundation, and Benny Subianto Foundation) distributed a total fund of Rp1.1 trillion in the form of scholarship for 10,416 students from various leading universities in Indonesia, early childhood education (PAUD) character program, and Islamic boarding school development for about 3,400 santri (students).
The Adaro Foundation (YABN) had also distributed 10,000 packages of school uniform for Indonesian children.

In the field of health, YABN has helped expedite stunting reduction rates reaching 3,319 toddlers and 301 pregnant women, providing nutritious food for 352 children, and providing cataract surgery for 6,981 elderly people.
During the 2020–2021 COVID-19 pandemic, YABN played its role by providing assistance totalling Rp102 billion to support COVID-19 handling in Indonesia.
In economy, YABN empowered people's economy through Mamanda Village program and MSMEs development, with more than 350 beneficiaries.
In envirnmental field, YABN had conducted bekantan or proboscis monkey conservation program in collaboration with South Kalimantan Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA).
Finally, in socio-cultural field, the foundation carried out a community empowerment program through Liyum Village development, assistance in distribution of food packages during 2022–2024 with more than 80,000 packages for underprivileged families, and building 500 free houses for low income communities (MBR).
With its new identity, YABN is committed to continue to present and grow new hopes by creating sustainable value for the community and stakeholders to support the achiement of Indonesia's great ideals.
