Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 23/8 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Soccer School (SSB) Batu Agung from Balangan District, South Kalimantan, will compete in the international final of Danone U12 football in New York, USA.
The 12 age (U12) team from Lok Batu Village, Batu Mandi Sub-district, Balangan, was honored to be released by Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) of South Kalimantan Branch during Barito Putera Vs Arema FC match at 17 Mei Stadium Banjarmasin on Wednesday.
According to SSB Batu Agung Manager Aris Hariadi, the U12 team that will represent Indonesia in this mini football field will leave for a training camp at Argo Wisata Kota Batu, Malang, on September 7th.
"Later on September 17 they will go to New York," he said.
According to him, there are ten players accompanied by a coach who will leave for Uncle Sam's country.
"All the players original are village kids, but they are very diligent to practice to win every game," he explained.
This team, said Aris, through a long process up to the international level, from district to the provincial level, then regional Kalimantan to the national.
"All games can be won, to represent Indonesia in the international arena of 12 age World Cup Final in New York," he explained.
According to him, hard struggle of these foster children can achieve to the international arena due to intensive training.
"Just two things that can make us not practice, Eid holiday and heavy rain, even during Ramadan exercise we keep exercising," said Aris.
He hopes the people of Indonesia support these foster children, because they are fighting for the name of the nation.
"We are blind to the opposing country team, but we make sure not to be cheerleaders in this international fight, our determination to raise the Merah Putih flag in New York," he said.
