Banjarmasin, S Kalimatan (ANTARA) - Higher Education Service Institution (LLDIKTI) Region XI Kalimantan and the National Accreditation Agency for Higher Education (BAN-PT) socialized Higher Education Accreditation Instrument 4.0 and Sapto 2 or online accreditation system at the campus of Muhammadiyah Banjarmasin University, Monday.
“Alhamdulillah (Thank God), the long-waited day has arrived, I would like to thank Director of BAN-PT and university leaders who attend this event,” said Chairman of LLDIKTI Region XI Dr Drs Muhammad Akbar MSi.
Akbar hopes there will be no internet network disruptions, so participants from West Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, and Central Kalimantan can continue to participate in the event.
Vice Rector I of Muhammadiyah Banjarmasin University Risya Mulyani, MSc said this activity is a strategic opportunity to enhance capabilities and strengthen digital regulation through Regulation 4.0 and Sapto 2.0.
Universities, he said, are required to be more adaptive to various digital changes in digital transformation aiming higher education to become superior, trusted and impactful.
“We hope this will be a momentum between universities, BAN-PT and LLDIKTI to synergize to strengthen the quality of higher education to be more competitive,” he said.
Meanwhile, Executive Board Director of BAN-PT Professor Ari Purbayanto stated that accreditation is not a burden, but an obligation that actually can be carried out with pleasure.
To help make it easier and enjoyable, he said, BAN PT has launched the IAPT 4.0 and Sapto 2.0 accreditation system.
IAPT 4.0 is an update of IAPT 3.0, used by BAN-PT to assess the quality of higher education institutions in Indonesia, with a focus on improving the quality of study programs through results-based assessments (outputs and outcomes).
While SAPTO 2.0 is an update of SAPTO, developed by BAN-PT to facilitate the online higher education accreditation process.
It aims to improve efficiency and quality of accreditation process and is align with the latest regulation, such as Minister of Education's Decree No. 53 of 2023 (Permendikbud No. 53 Tahun 2023).
“It is easier, more enjoyable, and user friendly. We hope with this new system, higher educations to immediately register to the system, which is now function well,” said Ari.
He reminded universities to use their official email address for registration to assure the process managed institutionally.
“A lot of universities use personal email address, so when the the person moves the email goes with it, and the university must create a new one,” he described.
Ari explained that this process of quality assurance improvement is crucial, not only for the university but also for students. Therefore, all university must understand this process.
