Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Regent of Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, H Muhammad Rusli held a silaturahmi or good relationship gathering with all sub-district heads and villages heads from the mainland region to discuss development and expansion issues.Regent H Muhammad Rusli emphasized the importance of synergy between all elements of government to realize the ideals of“Kotabaru Hebat” (which stands for harmonious, energetic, united, trustworthy and resilient).

"This gathering is important as a mean to uniting vision and strengthening spirit of togetherness in realizing Kotabaru Hebat through preparation of programs to be right on target,” he said as reported on Monday.
The meeting was also used to align the direction of development so that it is more targeted and evenly distributed throughout the area of Kotabaru.
A number of aspiration and inputs from sub-district heads and village heads were collected in the meeting, including those related to development of road infrastructure in the mainland and islands, as well as the discourse on expansion of new autonomous regions.
The district government stated that it will follow up all the aspirations in the future policy planning process.
Pulau Sebuku Sub-district Head Jaki hopes that the construction of road and public services in the mainland to be realized soon and evenly.
“We hope that the development of infrastructure, especially roads, can be enjoyed by the community soon, both in the mainland of Kalimantan or in island areas, all need attention. We have conveyed all aspirations from each region. Hopefully they can be realized,” said Jaki.
Regent Rusli said his commitment to make this kind of silaturahmi as a routine agenda to ensure that the development runs according to the needs of the community in all areas of Kotabaru.
