Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The district government of Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, has built an office for Semayap Village, as one of its efforts to improve services to the community.
Kotabaru Assistant for Government and People's Welfare H Minggu Basuki said the construction of village office is part of the government's efforts to improve quality of servics to the community.
"The construction of this building is a form of the regional government's commitment in improving public services and strengthening transparent, accountable and professional village governance," he said in Kotabaru, Thursday.

Village office is not only a physical building, but a symbol of service, information center and a place for community aspiration.
"I congratulate the establishment of the village office. Hopefully it can be utilizef optimally to improve the performance of village apparatus and support responsible village development," he said.
He invited all elements of the community to jointly maintain and care this facility and continue to strengthen the sense of mutual cooperation and togetherness in building an advanced, independent and prosperous village.
Head of Semayap Village Hj Hamiah said the construction of this office began in 2023 for first floor and in 2024 for second floor equipped with adequate facilities to support comfort and efficiency of public services.
“We completely renovate the building using Village Allocation Fund (DAD) with the first phase budget for the ground flood Rp846 million, but only Rp836 million was realized," she said.
With the new building it is hoped that all village administrative services can be carried out more effectively and provide more comfort for residents who come to apply for their needs.
